Megan (Durham) Poole, President
Welcome!
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the 18th president of the Minneapolis Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Our chapter is made up of 47 incredible women who work tirelessly to create opportunities for growth and development for our children and the families in our Twin Cities community.
The Minneapolis Chapter continues to grow, thrive, inspire and innovate through one-of-a-kind programming, curated learning opportunities, and deepening connections with one another. Our goals are to continue to grow our community programs and initiatives as we meet the needs of our children and families through Jack and Jill’s programmatic thrusts: STE(A)M, education, culture, health, civic, legislative, social, and recreation. We are fully committed to making sure that our children become leaders, and that we play an active role in making the world a better place for all children.
Our Rights of Passage Program will resume this fall, culminating with a debut in the spring of 2027. ROP has been the Minneapolis Chapter’s award-winning signature event for 25 years. Fundraising proceeds from this program have served organizations in our local community as well as our national foundation. We are elated to welcome a new group of young men from our community and support them as they prepare for their lives beyond high school.
Also in 2027, the Minneapolis Chapter will celebrate the 75th Anniversary of its charter. We will continue to honor the outstanding legacy of leadership, dedication and service that has been established in Minneapolis since its founding in 1952.
I would like to thank the people who make the success of the Minneapolis Chapter possible. To my executive board, your tireless work year-round and the leadership you provide for our chapter is unmatched. To my beloved mother members, you truly make this journey special with each of your unique personalities and talents. I thank you for your love and support, and for being part of my family. To our Associate Jewels, thank you for sharing your love on us. Your support and encouragement mean the world. And finally, to our dads, you set the bar for our children and help us to show them what it means to be loved completely and through anything. I appreciate you all!
In Motherhood and Service to Our Children,
Megan Poole
